Aurora FC Sign Goalkeeper Emeka Eze Ahead of League Run-In

Aurora FC are delighted to confirm the signing of goalkeeper Emeka Eze on a season-long deal, with the option to extend into the 2025/26 campaign.

The 26-year-old arrives from Houston rival Bayou FC, where he kept nine clean sheets across two seasons and established himself as one of the most commanding stoppers in the regional league.

A statement of intent

The signing sends a clear message: Aurora FC are building for something serious. With the league run-in approaching, adding proven quality between the posts gives head coach Emmanuel Adeyemi options and competition for the number one jersey.

“Emeka is exactly the type of character we want in this squad,” said Adeyemi. “He’s calm, he communicates well, and his shot-stopping is excellent. We are excited to have him.”

Emeka’s first words

Speaking after completing his registration, Eze said:

“I’ve been watching Aurora FC closely for a while. The way this club is growing — the men’s team here in Houston, and now what they’re doing with the academy in Nigeria — it’s a project I want to be part of. I’m here to compete, help the team, and win.”

Emeka is available for selection from this weekend’s fixture against Greenpoint FC.
